Malaysian Electronic Clearing Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (MyClear), a wholly owned
subsidiary of Bank Negara Malaysia, undertakes the operations of the RTGS
system, the depository for scripless debt securities and the cheque clearing
system previously owned and operated by Bank Negara Malaysia.

System Analyst

Responsibilities:
Key Areas of
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development & implementation of IT solutions based on the endorsed applications specifications/blueprint which includes development, testing, training and preparation of documentation.
- Responsible for implementation of IT solutions which covers the various phases of the system development life cycle i.e from the business requirements gathering, design, develop, test until deployment of the IT solution.
- Collaborate with the business users to provide timely and satisfactory support services which include pro-active technical advice and guidance on the usage of application/software supported, application/software updates and the impact to business.
- Ensure continuous availability of applications by conducting application maintenance services such as applications health check, performance monitoring tuning and capacity planning.
- Improve the maintenance of applications from preparation of impact analysis and recommendations to successful implementation of the approved changes.
- Provide support services to stakeholders by ensuring all reported incidents, problems and issues are resolved within agreed service level agreements with minimal impact to business operations.
- Perform problem root cause analysis, develop resolution steps for common problems and recommend improvement to procedures and controls for problem preventive measures.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams and service providers throughout problem resolution process and monitor the problem resolution activities to ensure problems are resolved according to the service level agreement and compliance to IT standards and procedures.
- Continously keeping abreast with technology development to enable optimisation of ICT infrasturcture and application for the application supported.
- Build and maintain relationship with external expert and peers in other organizations in order to benchmark and research appropriate technology and processes for enhancing IT solutions and services in MyClear.
- Must be willing to work outside normal working hours, as systems supported are mission critical payment systems that run on a 24x7 basis
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Software design & development, system integration, and IT project management.
- Advanced knowledge of high-availability, clustered servers, as well as on-line real-time systems.
- Strong competency in software application design and architecture, technically strong in all or some of these software: JAVA, C/C++, Visual Basic, ASP, WebSphere, Apache, DB2 and SQL.
- Database Management (DB2).
- Sound operational risk and ability to think and deliver in high pressure situations.
- Good communication with verbal and writing skills.
- Excellent technical troubleshooting ability, and good problem solving skills.
